What this video covers
Correctly routing the front brake hose on the F3X so it doesn't kink under suspension travel.
The fix
- From the factory the hose clamp is often positioned so the hose kinks when the suspension compresses.
- Loosen the 3 mm clamp bolt and move the clamp up and over as far as it will go, so the hose tucks underneath as the fork compresses.
- Don't move it so far that the hose hits the cowlings — find the spot that clears both.
- Cycle the suspension to confirm smooth telescoping. The hose should sit free in front and bow like a motocross bike's line.
