What this video covers
Removing the controller (same process on the F3, F3X, and F4X) — for example to resolve a controller "03" error.
Tools needed
A ratchet with a 10 mm deep socket, and scissors/snips.
Steps
- Remove the six 10 mm bolts under the seat and take the seat off.
- Cut the zip ties on the controller and at the frame mounting points.
- Disconnect the four connections under the seat — start with the large yellow XT90; grip the ribbed sections and pull straight apart.
- Pull the cables down to expose the spiral wrap and unspiral it down to the motor cable.
- Loosen the knurled motor connection and pull it straight out — the controller is now free to pull out through the controller box.
